Phone number (to send appointment-related SMS messages)
Customer-provided name (if supplied)
Appointment details (date/time/duration and related booking actions)
System logs needed to operate and troubleshoot the service

How we use information

To provide appointment booking, rescheduling, and cancellation by text
To send transactional appointment confirmations and updates
To provide customer support and troubleshoot issues

SMS messaging policy: By texting a participating business booking number, users provide express consent to receive automated SMS messages related to appointment scheduling and customer service. Message frequency varies based on appointment activity. Message & data rates may apply. Customers may opt out at any time by replying STOP, END, or UNSUBSCRIBE. Reply HELP for assistance. Book By Text does not send promotional or marketing text messages without explicit consent.

Sharing of information

We use trusted third-party service providers solely to operate the Book By Text platform, including messaging delivery providers (such as Twilio), calendar integration providers (such as Google), hosting infrastructure providers, and payment processors (such as Stripe). These providers are required to protect customer data and may only use it to support service functionality.

Book By Text does not purchase, sell, rent, or use third-party marketing lists for SMS messaging. All messaging is initiated by customers or authorized businesses using the platform for appointment-related communication.

We do not sell personal information. We may share information only as needed to provide the service (for example, with service providers that support messaging, hosting, and security) and as required by law.

Data retention

We retain information only as long as needed to operate the service and support business and customer needs.
